I'm it--I think, I mean I guess, er . . .

VBS is over, the grandchildren are back with their mother, the birthday party is finished and so my blog interruption is officially over. While I have a post in the queue, I have promised I would respond to a tag. I was tagged by three e-friends, Chris, Matt and Corinne. So here are the rules 1) I have to post eight random facts about myself, 2) I have to list these rules and 3) I have to tag eight other people---so here goes.

1. I am with Dee Andrews--I hate being tagged. Call me grumbly if you will, but I hate it! I am responding simply because I like the people who tagged me. (Yall could send homemade cookies instead of tagging me next time, okay?)

2. During the summer, when I was 11, I read every book in the children's section at our public library.

3. I used to deliver newspapers on an old bike with big baskets on the sides.

4. I once ran over (in a car, not on my bike) a fire hydrant--they really do squirt up in the air. :)

5. I have a divit in my leg that is supposedly an alien scoop. Evidently while I was sleeping, aliens came, scooped my leg and took the sample to their planet---for cloning purposes? Who can say! :)

6. I don't like bugs or sweat or dirt--so camping is not my favorite past time.

7. My dad gave me a haircut to start kindergarten. In an effort to even up both sides, I inadvertantly ended up with a mohawk. (I wore a cap for the first six months of school)

8. I remember every phone number I have ever had.

Now, in the spirit of tagging---I tag Lisa (Outnumbered), Monica (MommySmart), Brian (Blog prophet), Paula Harrington, Abiding in Christ, Liz (One Woman' Thoughts), Jel (My Place), and James and Kathy (Preacher's House Parables)

I have been told that if you don't respond, something bad will happen---not sure if I believe that or if it is true---but perhaps, just perhaps if you don't respond, you will wake up one morning having been "scooped by an alien" :)

No tag backs!!!!

Peace
Neva

Neva,
Your funny.
I just was tagged a couple of days ago and went ahead and played along just for fun. I shared some very intersting things about myself. I now know in the future not to tag you. :-) God bless you sister and hope you have a great week!

I'm with you, tagging is not my favorite thing either. It's kind of like those chain letter emails. :) But I'll play along too. You are forcing me to blog more than one in the same week, so I'll have to give it a day or two so I don't over tax myself. :) I did enjoy learning more about you! Blessings!

Neva, thanks for playing along even though you don't like the game!

I am sure everyone I tagged has been tagged many times before, that is the bad thing about being a johnny-come-lately to the blog scene.

BTW, your answers are great, especially #7. I gave my son a hair cut once while we were on vacation and we ended up buzzing his hair to compensate for my lack of ability. He wouldn't let me touch his hair now, not even with a comb!

Very funny - I'm glad you are letting people see how comical you are.

I thank you for the tag, but I am not sure that I know 8 bloggers that have not already been tagged or you are tagging. If you are reading Neva's blog and want to volunteer to be one of my taggees then leave that comment on one of my posts! I would hate to leave you out.

I think those were the best tag answers I have ever read!
love ya,
Kathy

Would it be ok to fill out my response here especially since all my blogging friends have already been tagged?
Please :)
Ok, thanks (Whew!)

1. My husband and I were married at midnight under a full moon with 100 of our closest friends and family members. It was outside and they encircled us with candles. It was beautiful.

2. I once accidently (like anyone would do this on purpose) tucked my dress into my panty hoes and disrupted an entire wedding. (It wasn't my own wedding but it was tramatic for me, but more so for my husband :)

3. I too backed into a fire hydrant and nearly tore the bumper off our surburban. It didn't shoot out water.

4. I backed over our kitten, too *(different day). It didn't make it out as well as the fire hydrant. (It also didn't hurt my bumper or shoot out water either....)

5. I love to sing and came in second at a local talent contest. For a year and half I sang at a shopping center and performed for local celebrities.

6. Lily Tomlin called my house once. We spoke for nearly 20 minutes.

7. I don't embarrass easily.

8. I worked at a radio station as a late night DJ once and loved it.

By the way, I have ninja pictures of my brother for the highest bidder :)

Thanks for tagging me!!

Don,
Someday I will do a post or at least send you an email about my alien scoop----I don't really remember the night it happened and I couldn't begin to tell you whether they scooped me on earth or took me to the mother ship.
(Just messing with you---I don't believe it either but it is a cool story and since YOU have never heard of such a thing, it has to be the most random of all random---right?) You are the only one that commented on it so I kinda wondered if the others think I believe it?
too funny,
peace

Neva,
I remember the alien scoop--I laughed then and I am laughing now. I don't think most of your readers really know how funny and how much fun you are.
You are hilarious!

Love ya
Kel
PS --aren't you going to tell them what the name of a planet full of Nevas would be? LOL

Neva - Very interesting;Ve..rrr..y inte..rrrr..esting.

Aliens?Well if they scooped from your leg they certainly didn't mess with your funny done and your ability to write.

God Bless
Charlie

p.s. Thanks for coming by and posting your kind comment.

p.p.s. If this shows up twice it's because I'm a little forgetful at times and if it only shows up once .. same reason.
