Whaddya call it when . . .
You interview, hire and train a new assistant,
then fly across several states to spend time with an ailing parent,
then fly back across several states,
then have a death in the congregation,
then fall and shred your kneecap in a well known discount store,
then have surgery,
then have another death in the congregation,
then get a bacterial infection,
then go back to the hospital,
then get on medications,
then go to physical therapy,
then have fellowship dinner and the start of a gospel meeting?
You call it a very very good reason to have not blogged for an entire month.
I am however on the mend, life is settling down, therapy is almost over and the crutches will soon be gone. I have several blogposts on the brain and will be back soon. Thank you all for your prayers for my dad. He had his first and second chemos around Thanksgiving and was supposed to have more this week but his white blood count has dropped dangerously low and they are deciding what is the best course of action! Please keep praying! I miss you all!

You call that life.
Isn't it great that God has faith in you to allow your life to be filled to the brim?
I would hate a life that allowed for boredom. I am rarely bored and if I think it might be happening.... I wait five minutes.
Some years back I realized how blessed I was to have "problems" to deal with because many times, if not most, it was other people's problems I got to help with. I am humbled by how God has favored me, and continues to, many times with tasks that allowed me to serve Him.
Can you think of anyone else you would want to have to deal with the "things" of life you have been grace with and burdened with- other than yourself?
God has truly favored us to live during this troubled and troubling time. He certainly has a lot of faith in this present generation! And in you my blogger friend.

In agreement with others, I continue to pray for you, yours. You know my heart and special prayers where needed, right now for your healing and your dad's!!!!! May your healing come fully and quickly. Not often that the mom of a busy household can sit back, letting others do all the busy stuff around Christmas time. ;)
For many more years than I'd like to admit, I've held a philosophy that I'd rather everything go wrong on the same day, messing up that one day really horribly, rather than a little bit one day and another bit another day, et al, thereby spoiling a whole bunch of days. Now how's that for a Pollyana approach to problems? LOL
Whatever the philosophy, may you, your dad, and all other loved ones needing prayer heal quickly! And all the glory, honor and worship to our beloved Savior, Jesus the Christ!!!
